When we started out 3 years ago, people were finding us because our Rejuvenating Body Polish (formerly, Lido Mare Sugar Scrub) was doing amazing things for people's skin, not the least of which was, it was considered a top treatment for a fungus called Tinea Versicolor (in Hawaii it is very prevalent, and they call it "Haole Rot") People who live in tropical and sub-tropical environments, along with athletes seem to get this fungus a lot, because it likes to incubate in a humid environment (check out our blog for more info on this).  In fact, it was actually created to get rid of a year-long persistent case of Tinea Versicolor by our founder, Carol Niotta, who happens to be obsessed with spoiling herself with spa treatments and was distressed by the chemical-laden products we have been encouraged to put on our bodies without a thought to the consequences.

Long story short, most of our first customers came to us because of this fungus.  Yet because this is not a "medicine", we really can't promise any medical miracles, however, we will let our customer's reviews speak for themselves.  Many of our first customers were top athletes – we've been a favorite of pro surfers since we started, and we've even had Olympic Medalists and actors become fans of our beautiful products.
